Season two of Soul Binded follows Tate as she remeets familiar faces in a parallel universe. She meets the alternate universe version of Sylvester, who is now calm, polite, and collected rather than hotheaded and angry. Tate and Sylvester become allies and work together to defeat an evil mage who has created bird monsters that spread through a plague called Corviora.
These monsters are called Feathered Souls. They are human beings who have been transformed into large bird monsters who serve an evil overlord called the Crystalbearer. The Crystalbearer was an elf who was consumed by greed. He used the Dragon Crystal to gain immortality and power, but the cost was his life—destined to be taken by the Dragon Mage, the first innocent victim of his wish.
There are many societies in this world, which are the Citygoers, the Royals, the Mages, the Druids, and the Outsiders.
THE CITYGOERS
The first society that I will talk about are the Citygoers. They are humans that want to rid of magic completely and live more modern lives with technology. They are biased against any unusual creature that isn't an animal or a human. Most cities have been slowly been taken over by Feathered Souls, and the people of the corrupted cities hide underground in cellars and hideouts. The city that contains the Crystalbearer's lair is called the Lost City, which is a hotspot for Feathered Souls.
THE ROYALS
The next society I will talk about are the Royals. They are mostly humans and few Elves that are more medieval and more traditional. They have a large royal family, where any member of the family are called a Noble. The Royals hate another society called Mages, and they call them witches and burn them at the stake. The Royals also dislike the Citygoers because the Citygoers revolt and destroy buildings for new land for modern buildings.
THE MAGES
The mages are sorcerers who conjure magic to fight monsters and protect the weak. They don't dislike any society, not even the Royals. The mages just avoid the Royals so they won't get executed for what they are. There are four types of magic they create; Elemental Magic, Spirit Magic, Creation Magic, and weaker forms of magic like fortune telling. The way mages fight almost looks like dancing. To become a mage, you must either find a mage to teach you or go to the Mage Academy to get a proper education. It is heavily guarded and no Royals are permitted to enter. Their lessons are very dangerous, and tests are life threatening battles against real monsters. Few make it out alive, and only the most skilled mages pass. However, some classes seem unusual but one class is dancing lessons, since elegance and gracefulness is a key component so the mages can stay calm and focused as they fight monsters.
THE DRUIDS
The Druids are a society that was born from Mages. They are magic users that refuse to fight, and they heal instead of attack with their magic. They live in hidden Retreats and they help lost travelers by guiding them with their mysterious bells. They help injured magical creatures, and instead of fighting monsters with the intent to kill and eat them, they ward them away with special bells that make the target disoriented and dizzy. They make lots of potions, which lead to having lots of cauldrons so they use these cauldrons to make stews and soups.
THE OUTSIDERS
The Outsiders are people who don't fit into any of these societies. They are usually on nobody's side and they stay away from anyone who belongs to a society. An example of an outsider would be an elf family, who typically live in forests away from Druids and others.
