Mia is a lost child who Tate discovered and takes care of. Tate and Sylvester suspect Mia is the child of the Gloamhorn, due to her horn and sharp teeth. Mia was found alone by a tree, and was about to be attacked by a Feathered Soul before Tate managed to kill it before it harmed Mia. She for some reason, seems to attract monsters, similar to how monsters can sense each other and fight to eat each other to become stronger. She has no interest in eating anyone for some reason, so Sylvester suspects her mother must have been another species rather than a monster. She is a sweet girl who found an odd creature named Critter, who was actually the Crystalbearer's first but failed attempt of creating a Feathered Soul. He can screech like one, but it won't make anyone deaf but instead just makes their ears ring.
