After being thrown into an alternate dimension, Tate meets a very different Sylvester—now a kind ally instead of an enemy. Together, they search for a cure to the plague spread by the Feathered Souls, though Tate struggles to accept their friendship after all he’d done in her universe For the first time, she’s learning to heal herself instead of fighting for others.

While chasing a Feathered Soul, Tate saves a wounded pink-haired girl with a small horn—possibly the child of the feared monster Gloamhorn. Ignoring Sylvester’s warnings, she takes the girl in and names her Mia, vowing to protect her like her own sister.
