This story is split into two "seasons." Season one follows Tate, as she has been destroying the Hunters who are killing her kind, ever since they killed her family when she was a child. Her soul split in two and was taken over by two entities who fought each other millions of years ago. They were two brothers who are depicted as "Demise" and "Misery."
A girl with the nickname Toast tries to bring Tate to her senses and stop Tate from mercilessly killing the Hunters.
In season one of this story, there is a species that live on a large, hidden island surrounded by fog. This species are the Halflings. They are humanlike creatures that have animal features, like tails, antlers, ears, etc.
When a Halfling child turns 4 years old or so, they gain a special ability that they contribute to their village. For example, the ability to jump high, heal small wounds, create light from their hands, and other minor abilities that are similar.
There are Halfling Hunters that were sent from "The Kingdom" outside of the island who were instructed to kill off the Halflings, in case if they managed to leave the island and throw down the humans. However, Halflings are kind hearted creatures who couldn't stand a chance against the human's artillery, so Halfling villages have been burned down and destroyed.
The Halfling Hunter organization was originally an illegal group of merciless killers, but the Monarch of "the Kingdom" was left no choice but to send them to kill the Halflings since the military couldn't make it far enough to the Halfling Island.
Demise was a power hungry demon who would kill people for pleasure, while his brother Misery, who had to fight against him, was a sad warrior with a sword that was forged from a magical water from the moon. They had an epic duel that lasted for five days, until they ended up killing each other. It was prophesized that they would return a million years later and fight once more.
And so, they returned as Tate when her soul split in two after finding her parents killed. One half would tell her to kill the hunters while the other would tell her to spare them. Unfortunately, Demise would win due to his immense power. Tate was unrecognizable after Demise and Misery took over her.
When she was a child, she had a friend named Sabrina. Originally, Tate wasn't supposed to talk to other children "in case if she finds the other brother", but Tate broke the rules and would play with her in the forests. Sabrina had the unfortunate ability that she could blast people miles away with the touch of her finger. The blast would be so powerful that the creatures molecules couldn't handle the force so they would just disintegrate. However, Tate has the ability to regenerate her wounds and never die, so Tate would survive.
Sadly, when Tate's soul split, Tate and Sabrina went their separate ways since Tate stopped playing with Sabrina. Sabrina ran back home to find her village destroyed by the hunters. The Hunter Leader was there, and he saw her power in action. He decided she would be useful and took her in, despite her being the species that the hunters are trying to wipe out. When she came of age, she became the next Hunter Leader after the previous one died.
