Toast is a cheerful and stubborn Cat Halfling who accompanied Tate on her travels. She used to be nervous and twitchy when it came to fighting and danger, but after watching Tate protect her from Hunter attacks, she became more brave and began fighting herself with her strong kicks. Her power is honestly useless since Halflings don't eat. Her ability is to create food out of thin air, but it doesn't help anybody so people basically considered her useless.

She met Tate when she was running away from Hunters as they were attacking her village, and Tate had to rescue her. Toast insisted that Tate had to go to the main Halfling Village and talk to the Council so she can save the Halflings from the Hunters. Tate just wanted to be left alone and she tried to explain that if she visited the Council, she would be banished for being a cursed child since she is Demise and Misery. However, Toast forced her to and both Toast and Tate got banished.
