A blood-drinking monster boy and a druid woman discover the true power of the Spirits
A young Druid Wanderer named Sabrina was patrolling the woods around her Druid Retreat when she found a half Blood-Drinker, half human boy named Lih (which translates to "red") feeding on her dead Wanderer partners. He simply turned around and greeted her with a friendly smile.
Sabrina went to defend herself with her small bells that ward away monsters, but Lih quickly grabbed and tossed them. He then walked away waving goodbye, and Sabrina followed him as he talked with her casually.
Lih gave Sabrina the impression that he was an ambitious boy with the potential to leave his monstrous ways behind and find alternatives to killing people for food. Believing he deserved a chance, she left her Druid Retreat to help him discover a more humane way of living, accompanying him on his journeys along the way.
Lih explained that the type of monster he was are called Blood-Drinkers. Instead of feeding on flesh for strength, Blood-Drinkers survive by drinking blood and often have much more human-like appearances. He said his mother was a human and his father was a Blood-Drinker, but both were killed by soldiers, leaving him hidden alone in the forest. He was eventually found and raised by an old Mage, who taught him Water Magic. After discovering his true Blood-Drinker abilities, Lih killed the old Mage and used his magic to learn how to control blood. He now uses a whip with a long blade attached to strike down his enemies from afar.
Sabrina gave him more Druid-like clothes, and a less violent method of getting blood. She gave him a hat with many dangling arrow tips that had water inside of them so he could use his magic to unattach them to just wound animals to drink their blood.
He told Sabrina that his main goal in life was to find the Spirit of all Spirits, the Deity. Lih explained that whenever he drank a creature's blood, he could feel its strength becoming his own. The more powerful the creature, the stronger he became. Because of this, he believed that the Deity's blood would grant him power beyond anything imaginable. If he could find the Deity and drink her blood, he was convinced he would become the most powerful monster in existence and rule as the king of all monsters.
Lih's dream made Sabrina realize that she had never truly wanted anything for herself in life. She had always kept her distance from others and lived without close friends or family, never giving much thought to her own desires. However, after growing closer to Lih, Sabrina began to question what she wanted from her own life and whether there was more for her beyond simply wandering alone.
